Katelyn DeRuyter

Katelyn was raised in Atlanta, GA. After high school, she spent seven years in Minnesota pursing her higher education. Katelyn also served in the Minnesota Army National Guard and graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC in the Summer of 2011.

Katelyn received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Katelyn next attended the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated with her J.D. in 2014 and was admitted to the Georgia Bar the same year.

Katelyn spent the first three years of her career as an Assistant Solicitor General, prosecuting misdemeanor crimes. She next worked as an associate attorney in the Atlanta office of a regional insurance defense firm representing clients sued in a wide variety of civil matters. Prior to joining Foy & Associates, Katelyn worked as a claims manager at an international insurance company. Katelyn now applies what she has learned to fight for her clients and ensure they receive full compensation for their injuries.

In her spare time, Katelyn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, and traveling.
