John Barnes

John Barnes, originally from southern middle Tennessee, attended the University of Tennessee, earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2006. He continued his studies at the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he graduated with honors in 2009.

John has dedicated his 15-year career as a trial lawyer to representing only individuals. Before transitioning to personal injury law full-time, he owned and operated a successful law firm in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he also practiced criminal defense. This dual experience has equipped him with substantial courtroom expertise and a well-rounded understanding of the legal landscape that serves his clients well.

John is committed to addressing his clients’ most challenging legal issues with a strategic and informed approach. He prides himself on maintaining open communication, ensuring clients are well-informed and up to date throughout their case.

Outside of his legal practice, John enjoys quality time with his wife and their four dogs. He is passionate about traveling, skiing, golfing, and is an avid supporter of the Tennessee Volunteers and the Atlanta Braves.
