Laura Sidwell Maki

 

Laura Sidwell Maki is licensed to practice law in Georgia, Alabama and Florida.  She has worked in the legal field for over thirty years, practicing law the last twenty years across three states.  Ms. Maki started her legal career in insurance defense and was in-house trial counsel for over a decade for one of the largest insurance carriers in the nation before using her talents as a successful litigator to representing injured people.  She most recently was an equity partner in a large national personal injury firm, where she successfully recovered millions in compensation for her injured clients in settlements and verdicts across Georgia.

Ms. Maki grew up in northwest Florida, graduating from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Administration (Paralegal Studies), and a Master of Public Administration degree.  She went to law school at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama, and lived and practiced in Birmingham, Alabama for seven years before moving to Atlanta. 

In her free time, Ms. Maki enjoys traveling and spending quiet weekends in the North Georgia mountains.
