A freak accident is any accident that comes out of nowhere with no good explanation. It implies that the victims could do nothing to predict it could happen. This may apply to a shooting case that happened in Cobb County. The AJC reports.
A driver was near the RaceTrac at Austell Road and Elmwood Drive in Cobb County. For reasons unknown, the driver was shot. Police do not know why the shooting happened, nor is it unclear if they have any suspects, but they believe that it happened while the man was driving.
Due to the shooting, the man drove into a road sign near the gas station. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but died there. There was also a young child in the back seat who received minor injuries from the debris.
Police offered no further information, but it is certain that they will seek answers. There are numerous possible causes, from a deliberate shooting to an accidental discharge that caused a freak accident. Until the police finish their investigation, there’s no way of knowing.
