There are more ATV-like vehicles driving on Atlanta roadways. They’re fun vehicles, but they have similar dangers to motorcycles. It’s easy to fall off in a crash and get seriously injured or killed.
A mother has put out a plea for an ATV driver to turn themselves in after a crash. CBS 46 reported on the incident.
The ATV was riding through Atlanta with a passenger on the back. As a car made a left turn at Metropolitan Parkway and St. John’s Avenue, the ATV crashed into it. The passenger was thrown off the ATV and died.
Instead of staying at the crash, the ATV driver fled the scene. Police are hunting for the SUV, and the family has issued a public plea for the driver to turn themselves into the police.
This is not the first time an ATV has caused an accident on public roads. The Atlanta Police Department is trying to crack down on the incidents.
We wish to extend our condolences to the family and friends of the slain woman and also hope that the driver turns themselves in. Fleeing the scene of a crash will always make your legal situation more perilous.
