Fox 5 News Atlanta reported recently that a tragic hit-and-run motor vehicle accident left a pedestrian dead in southeastern Atlanta on the evening of Saturday, February 27, 2021.
According to officials with the Atlanta Police Department, the incident took place between 11:00 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Saturday, February 27, 2021 near 3532 Jonesboro Road SE on the southeastern side of the city of Atlanta. Atlanta Police were called to the location due to an accident and found an adult male dead in the roadway.
The initial investigation demonstrated that the victim was attempting to cross Jonesboro Road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north. That vehicle did not stop after striking the victim. Investigators are currently searching for the driver and vehicle that hit the victim.
