We’ve said it many times in these stories. Never leave the scene of an accident before giving a report to the police! It makes you far more liable to criminal conviction and losing civil cases. Sadly, some people think they can flee anyway and get away with it, like in today’s case reported by CBS 46.
Dashcam footage caught the deadly crash which happened back on April 3rd, and now the Atlanta Police Department is seeking help from the public after releasing the footage. An Uber driver caught the accident as it happened.
Police believe that a grey Jeep Cherokee is the responsible vehicle that hit the pedestrian at Piedmont Ave. and Lindbergh Drive around 3 AM. 911 calls from witnesses say that the 28-year-old victim flew through the air and died at the scene. The Jeep sped off.
