WMAZ Channel 13 CBS News reported recently that a tragic motor vehicle accident took place in Macon, GA in the early morning hours of Monday, March 1, 2021 that left a young woman and her uncle dead as they rushed to the hospital to be with another family member that had been shot in an unrelated incident.
According to a news release issued by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place between 1:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Monday, March 1, 2021 on Wimbish Road in Macon, Georgia.
A Macon woman, 24 years of age, was driving down Wimbish Road with her uncle, a Macon man 40 years of age, as a passenger, en route to a local hospital to be with her sister who had been shot earlier that night in an unrelated occurrence. The woman lost control of the vehicle and hit a pole, which ejected both occupants of the vehicle. Neither survived.
