11 Alive reported recently that a skateboarding mishap led to serious injuries for a young teenager from Peachtree City, a suburb on the southwest side of metro Atlanta, on Saturday, February 20, 2021.
According to local authorities and the boy’s family, the incident took place on Saturday, February 20, 2021 in the Peachtree City area. A young senior at McIntosh High School, 17 years of age, was skateboarding without wearing a helmet and was in a serious skateboarding accident that led to critical injuries for the young lad.
He was transported by medical helicopter to Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he remains in critical condition.
He is only slightly responsive and his brain scans have been inconsistent, so he will remain in the ICU until he is more stable, but his family hopes for a full recovery. A GoFundMe has been set up for the boy’s medical expenses.
